{"id":345,"date":"2021-08-05T17:20:37","date_gmt":"2021-08-05T17:20:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/content.agfmfg.com\/blog\/?p=345"},"modified":"2022-03-30T20:08:46","modified_gmt":"2022-03-30T20:08:46","slug":"agfs-new-lockable-pressure-relief-valve-for-fire-spinklers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/content.agfmfg.com\/blog\/agfs-new-lockable-pressure-relief-valve-for-fire-spinklers\/","title":{"rendered":"AGF Introduces Lockable Pressure Relief Valves to Expedite Hydrostatic Testing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MALVERN, PA\u00a0\u2014AGF Manufacturing is excited to introduce two new lockable pressure relief valves, <a href=\"https:\/\/agfmfg.com\/accessories\/lockable-pressure-relief-valve-7000l\/\">Model 7000L<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/agfmfg.com\/accessories\/lockable-pressure-relief-valve-7200l\/\">Model 7200L<\/a>\u00a0specifically designed for the fire sprinkler industry. <strong>These models can be temporarily locked closed to allow for hydrostatic testing without removing the pressure relief valve from the system, saving significant time during installation.<\/strong> They can be ordered standalone or as part of AGF\u2019s products that include pressure relief.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-338 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/content.agfmfg.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/7000L-lockout.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"275\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The new pressure relief valves include two metal tabs: \u201cflush\u201d and \u201chydro.\u201d The \u201cflush\u201d tab can be lifted to quickly flush debris from the valve. The \u201chydro\u201d tab can use the same hex wrench to temporarily lock the valve closed for hydrostatic testing with the valve installed in the system. This feature will allow a sprinkler system or a <span class=\"text-small-caps\">TESTanDRAIN<\/span> valve with relief valve and drain trim to be completely installed prior to initial system leak testing, greatly speeding up installation. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>AGF\u2019s Model 7000L has a \u00bd\u201d MIPT inlet and FIPT outlet. Model 7200L has a \u00be\u201d MIPT inlet and FIPT outlet. Both are made with a bronze body and stainless-steel spring. Both come standard at 175 PSI.
