AGF Manufacturing Introduces DRYTEST Model 5600 to Simplify Dry Sprinkler System Trip Testing

Compact valve combines essential testing functions to reduce connections, installation time, and system complexity

MALVERN, PA., July 21, 2026 AGF Manufacturing, a leading provider of innovative fire protection solutions, proudly announces the launch of the DRYTEST Model 5600, a compact valve designed to simplify trip testing for dry and preaction fire sprinkler systems.

DRYTEST ValveThe DRYTEST Model 5600 combines the test connection valve and orifice manifold into a single, purpose-built assembly. By replacing a traditional arrangement of multiple components and field-installed connections, DRYTEST can help contractors shorten installation time, reduce potential leak points, and create a cleaner system layout. It also provides ITM teams with a convenient, accessible point for conducting required trip tests.

“Trip test assemblies should be straightforward to install, operate, and verify,” said Jim McHugh, President at AGF Manufacturing. “DRYTEST brings the essential functions together in one compact valve, helping contractors reduce installation complexity while giving a clear and efficient way to perform the code-required trip test.”

Designed to meet the requirements of NFPA 13 Section 8.2.4.4, the Model 5600 allows testing directly at the valve. An integrated sight glass provides clear visual confirmation of water flow, while a precision brass orifice insert supports accurate testing based on the requirements of the sprinkler system.

DRYTEST is available with four brass orifice configurations: 5.6K, 5.6K times two, 8.0K, and 8.0K times two. The one-inch valve features a female-threaded NPT inlet, a male-threaded NPT outlet, a brass valve body, and a steel sight glass.

Developed with contractors and inspectors in mind, DRYTEST reflects AGF Manufacturing’s continuing focus on practical products that improve the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.

The DRYTEST Model 5600 is available through AGF Manufacturing’s network of authorized distributors. Product information, technical data, and distributor resources are available through the AGF Manufacturing website, www.agfmfg.com.
